Circle time serves as important class time when the entire group gathers to learn about important concepts such as the weather, time and date, and holidays. In our classroom, we also use this time to work on social skills, gross and fine motor skills, and emotional skills.
When presenting circle time to students with disabilities, it often becomes necessary to present adapted visual supports in order to aid the students in understanding basic concepts. With this binder, you can find Boardmaker-created visual supports to aid in the comprehension of common circle time concepts such as holidays, days of the week, months of the year, and the weather. There are also additional visual supports if you enjoy working in other concepts such as shapes and colors.
With this binder, you will find adapted visual supports for the following concepts:
- Days of the Week
- Months of the Year
- Six Common Early Childhood Songs including the Hokey Pokey, Old MacDonald, BINGO, Incey Wincey Spider, Wheels on the Bus, and If You're Happy (plus additional visual support boards for four song boards)
- Circle Time Rules
Simply place holes into the top of each page and place the pages into a three-ring binder. Laminate the pages for long-term use and you will be ready to incorporate this binder into your daily circle time routine!!
