This is an adapted PE Lesson Plan I created during my Adapted PE clinical course in college. This course was split between lecture and clinical time. Therefore, I did implement this lesson with my students during the clinical time. The LP includes a skipping/galloping/hopping activity, a modified throwing and catching game, a combination of throwing at a stationary target and kicking at a stationary target activity, and three swimming activities. The LP is extremely detailed. It includes: Illinois state standards, national standards, objectives, equipment, time allowed, description of the activity, transition statements, safety concepts, teaching cues/feedback, and accommodations/modifications. I used this LP with a 10 year old student with down syndrome and a student with a learning disability. This LP can be adapted to meet the needs of other students in Adapted PE.
