This 37 page script retains much of Shakespeare's original language, although it is shortened and simplified for easy access by upper elementary through high school aged students. This is the third in a series adapted by K. McCreary.
The story quickly captures the imagination of the reader as he/she is introduced to the magic of Prospero and Ariel, the evil plots of Antonio and Sebastian, the ridiculous antics of Trinculo, Stephano, and the "monster" Caliban, and the romance of Miranda and Ferdinand.
Classes have enjoyed using this script for puppet shows, improvisational sets, selected scenes, and full productions.
Also available is a complete set of activities, worksheets, and answer sheets.
