“What is my temp.?” Is a great way to incorporate functional math and science content into your work tasks. I use these in a variety of ways by mixing and matching the levels.
Here are some ideas for using this resource. I have included the “extras” I use for each of these as a bonus. Of course add your own flair and do what works for your students. If you come up with another idea I would love to hear about it. With all of the activities remember you can change the *field size if needed.
-Matching: icon-thermometer and thermometer-icon
-Order temperatures: coldest-warmest/ warmest-coldest
-Greater than and less than
-Above or below: select one thermometer and have students find all of the
others that are either above or below that temperature.
-How does it feel: students can sort temp. by hot, warm, cool & cold
-Fill in temperatures (this is level 5)
-Color in temperatures (this is level 6)
