This activity is for level 1 learners (students who are limited-verbal and do not
write independently). It is best used as a group activity (other than the tracing) or
with moderate to max assistance. It is not intended to be used for independent practice (though if
you feel you can modify it and use it as such, we strongly encourage you to do so).
This activity teaches the very basics about localized voting (in the classroom vs.
city, state, or national elections) with an emphasis on the vocabulary and basic
process involved in making a choice as a group and exercising your right to vote. It
is not meant to be comprehensive or overly detailed in order to increase mastery at
a lower level of functioning. We look forward to your feedback! Thank you!
