In this activity students use task cards to solve 3 digit addition problems. Students then round addends to tens or hundreds and add to find an estimated sum. Students compare their actual sum with estimated sum to check for reasonableness.
Task cards can be used in a small group, as center work, or as a search & find activity around the classroom.
