This addition game is called "Add It Up." All you need is the number cards and answer sheet. Then you're ready to play! First, copy the number cards on colored paper or cardstock. Then cut them out and place them in a baggie or small cup. The students will randomly draw two cards and record the sum of the numbers on the answer sheet. Then their partner will take a turn. Whoever has the greatest sum will earn a point. The player that has the most points at the end of eight rounds wins! This game can be changed to fit the needs of your learners. For example, the students can build draw three or four cards and add those numbers together. This would be a great guided math activity or center.
