Scavenger hunts are a great self checking center activity or whole group activity for students. Students will be able to work problems and then search for their answer on another card. My favorite part about scavenger hunts is that students do not have to ask me if a question is correct or not because, if they cannot find it they are wrong! This frees me up to work uninterrupted with small groups.
This scavenger hunt works specifically on the TEKS 4.4A. The problems in this set involve adding and subtracting decimals when the number of digits in each number is different.
4.4A Add and subtract whole numbers and decimals to the hundredths place using the standard algorithm.
