    Description

    Basic facts families to 10, counting and forming equations need repeated practice especially for students in special education and inclusion classes. This hands-on set of activity booklets and worksheets for teaching and reinforcing counting and basic addition facts to 10 will help your students with the extra practice they need.

    This set includes the 1-10 fact families PLUS a generic title page you can use as your cover when you mix and match your book pages. Pick and choose the pages with just the facts your students specifically need to practice. By doing this, you can create booklets matched specifically to your students' needs. This is GREAT for special education classrooms and inclusion classes.

    You also get 2 worksheets for each fact family with answer keys plus a form the students can use to record their math equations as they do them.

    The students will love counting red and green apples on the apple trees and using number cards to formulate the equation for at the bottom of each page for the apples they counted. Using the equation they have constructed, they can record their questions on the record worksheet.

    Write numbers from 0 to 20. Represent a number of objects with a written numeral 0-20 (with 0 representing a count of no objects).
    Understand the relationship between numbers and quantities; connect counting to cardinality.
    Understand that the last number name said tells the number of objects counted. The number of objects is the same regardless of their arrangement or the order in which they were counted.
    Understand that each successive number name refers to a quantity that is one larger.
    Add within 100, including adding a two-digit number and a one-digit number, and adding a two-digit number and a multiple of 10, using concrete models or drawings and strategies based on place value, properties of operations, and/or the relationship between addition and subtraction; relate the strategy to a written method and explain the reasoning used. Understand that in adding two-digit numbers, one adds tens and tens, ones and ones; and sometimes it is necessary to compose a ten.
