Scoot! This is a great game to get kids actively involved. Great for assessment.
**CCSS 2.NBT.6** Can also be used for a 3rd grade review.
Teacher arranges desks and/or tables in whatever manner you desire. If you want, you can leave your current classroom setup, but just make sure your students know which way to move when the timer is up!
How to play: Set a “scoot” card on each desk. Students start at their own desks. They read the problem and write the answer on the correct box of the answer sheet. After a minute (or however long your class needs), teacher says “scoot!” and children rotate in one direction and work on the next problem, recording their answer. Repeat! Scoot is over when students have returned to their own desks.
You could also use this as a read the room activity!
