This package includes TWO activities that help students practice adding and subtracting decimals. The first is a board game in which students draw cards to see if they earn or owe money. They must keep a record of their totals. I have included the game board, game cards, and record keeper. The second activity has to do with shopping. I made cards with various items on them along with their prices. In small groups, students "go shopping" for items. Then, they must total it and write it in their checkbook. To make it more difficult I have included coupons so that they can calculate discounts (but it's up to you if you want to use these with your class or not!). I have also included money cards in which they can earn money (i.e. for mowing the lawn) or pay money (i.e. for their electric bill). For this activity I included printable checkbooks, money cards, coupons, and item pictures. I have also included a list of key vocabulary, instructions for the game, and how to use the different types of cards as well.
This is great for a center!
