Similar to the Eureka Math Sprint, the attached exercises are great tools for whole class remediation for students who have been exposed to adding and subtracting integers. The suggested time limit on each sprint is 75 seconds (for freshman in high school). Adjust the time according to students' abilities.
To conduct a sprint, the teacher displays a countdown timer for students. Students should be instructed to complete as many problems as possible within the allotted time without skipping. After the time has elapsed, the teacher should display a key and have students grade themselves based on the number they answered correctly. Have students keep track of their scores, so they can monitor their progress throughout the year.
