Students will practice adding and subtracting 10s and 100s through modeling. This activity can be used over and over again! Laminate or place in a page protector for students to use with dry-erase markers.
First, students will roll dice to fill in the blank digits.
Second, students will draw the first number with base-ten blocks. For subtraction problems, they will cross off the value of the second number. For addition problems, they will draw the value of the second number.
Third, students will write the values in expanded form.
Finally, students will use their work to solve the problem.
