Students practice addition and subtraction of decimals to the tenth with these 3 fun SCOOT games!
Each game comes with 24 cards. The games are:
1) Addition of decimals to the tenth
2)Subtraction of decimals to the tenth
3) Mixed Subtraction and Addition of decimals to the tenth
Each of these games comes in colour and black and white and is followed by the student recording sheet and answer key.
To play Scoot:
Laminate and cut out all 24 cards for the game you want to play. Put one in front of each student and give each student a Student Recording Sheet. Give students enough time to calculate the answer to their Scoot card in front of them and record it on their sheet. Usually, teachers give around 1 minute to answer. When the time is up, the teacher yells, “Scoot!” and all students move over one space and answer the next card. This continues until all students have completed all the questions.
At the end, have students mark their own or switch papers and mark each other's answers.
SCOOT is a great game that gets students moving and interacting with others while working on their math skills.
