I created this resource as an intervention for computation. My struggling students get confused or forget the many steps involved with adding and subtracting fractions and mixed numbers. This resource includes a step by step graphic organizer or template for the students to use to complete each problem. By using the template, the students are reminded of the different steps and taught how to effectively organize their work.

This resource includes 20 adding and subtracting fractions problems and 20 adding and subtracting mixed numbers problems.

This resource would be ideal for RTI, independent practice, classwork, homework, or even centers.

I have included two options for you to choose which best fits your needs.

Option 1: Use as a printable. Use the option that has the problem on the same page as the graphic organizer/template. There are two problems on each page to save copies.
Option 2: Laminate the template and have the students use a dry erase marker. Reuse the template with all the problems. Use the option that has multiple problems on one page.
