This lesson includes a fun cartoon with a foldable for each of the steps. This interactive/foldable will allow your students to create a memorable display of Adding and Subtracting Fractions. This lesson will be sure to intrigue your students and offers another approach rather than the traditional worksheet. I have found great success in incorporating interactive lessons into my classrooms and my students have thoroughly enjoyed each lesson.
I have provided a template in which the students will color, cut and paste to a separate sheet of paper *or could be a great piece to add to a math journal!
This product includes:
- A procedures page, including the Common Core Standard, step-by-step directions, a photo example and a proficiency scale for students to reflect upon the lesson.
- An ‘Adding and Subtracting Fractions’ template’
*This lesson is a part of an Interactive Math Journal that I use in my classroom but can be used as a single lesson as well. Check out my store for more interactive lessons!
