Adding and Subtracting Integers Activity Pack Printable game and Boom Cards

My students used to really struggle with adding and subtracting integers. I knew they needed a way to practice working with positive and negative numbers, so I created this two-part activity pack!

Part 1: The Game! In "Integer Climb and Dive" students will either be Mountain Climbers, climbing to the top of the summit (positive integers) or be Deep Sea Divers, diving down to the depths of the ocean floor (negative integers). The gameboard itself is a wonderful visual to help students learn the fundamentals of the number line. Players slide their Climber or Diver along the mountainside or under the ocean waters to win the game. There are also many variations that can extend this game to a more challenging level.

Part 2: Independent (Digital) Practice! The "Integers Boom Card" deck includes quick tutorial videos to help students understand how to use the number lines, counters and mental math methods to add and subtract positive and negative numbers. Plus, the 44 card deck provides PLENTY of practice!

Boom cards provide immediate feedback for students! It's a great way to review skills independently.
