This PowerPoint presentation covers the basic steps required to add or subtract radical expressions. I use this ppt in my Math I (Algebra I) classes when I first introduce the topic of radical operations, thus, it is classroom tested. It is a fully animated ppt presentation and also functions like a guided notes worksheet as it includes six (6) examples for the students to complete on their copy of the slides as the teacher goes through the presentation. It highlights the five (5) basic steps I use to combine radicals by adding or subtracting. Each of the 6 examples repeats the steps to help the students remember them. This presentation summary is designed to follow and be a companion to the other 2 PPT summary presentations I created titled "Simplifying Radicals" and "Multiplying Radicals" which are also on my TPT site. It is a great study guide for students to use when preparing for their test or assessment on this subject.
