Using a spinner, students spin the spinner and then apply the math fact strategy. If you are playing doubles plus 1 and a student spins a 5, the student says 5 plus 5 is 10 plus one is 6. Get them used to using the strategy. Students take turns. They cover up the sum. The person with the most sums covered wins. If you are playing adding numbers 5-10 students spin the spinner 2x and add the numbers.
** I recommend getting blank dice and labeling them 5-10. Small blocks are cheap and easy to use. Sometimes you can find foam blocks at the dollar tree**
