Chip it cards are a fun and engaging, hands-on way, to help students develop, master, and review addition fluency, all year long, with sums to 10 and 20.
Just leave these cards in your math center, along with chips, counting bears, or any of your small manipulatives.
Each card contains three equations to solve.
Two of them equal the sum on the card and one does not. Students cover the incorrect equation and check their answer with the answer key.
There are 34 cards with sums up to 10 and 48 cards with sums from 11-20. Many of the cards contain equations to help students master the commutative property of addition.
These cards contain just enough color to make them appealing, but not too much to waste your precious colored ink!
To prepare, just print, laminate and cut each page in quarters. The cards are perfectly centered to make it easier on you! No extra cutting around each card! Print and laminate the answer keys, for durability. Put the cards in a bin, along with some chips, and leave them at your math center all year long for tons of learning fun!
