Christmas Tree Addition Craft! My popular "lady bug addition craft" has found its way to a Christmas version just in time for the Holidays!
Your students will LOVE putting together their Christmas Tree, picking out the colors for their ornaments and gifts, gluing them in place, and showing off their addition skills!
This activity is a cute way to display your students' addition skills in the classroom or the hallway for all to see. It is also a great way to reinforce their understanding of addition.
Students will color their tree, ornaments, and gifts according to their desire. They can choose how many of each they want on their tree (that way there will be a variety of addition sentences used). They can also choose if they are adding ornaments + gifts, or if they are just using gifts for decoration and are only adding together star ornaments + circle ornaments. Students will count how many of each and write those numbers on the corresponding lines.
I have included easy picture examples, that are labeled, to help demonstrate this thinking process.
I have designed the file to be copied off in bulk for the whole class to save on copies.
