Just Ask Judy

This free sports themed resource includes a sampler of games and activities designed to reinforce basic addition fact strategies with first and second graders. These are a perfect complement to my other addition fact strategy resources. Color the Sum (Add 10), Three in a Row (Count Up 3), and Can I Use This Strategy? (Make 10) focus on applying a single strategy. Spin a Strategy (Add 0, Count Up, Doubles) and Find, Color, Tally, & Graph (Doubles, Make 10, and Doubles + 1) require discriminating between a selection of strategies and applying them. A pencil and paper clip are needed to create a spinner for Spin a Strategy. A deck of cards is required for Color the Sum, Three in a Row and Can I Use This Strategy? Check out my complete resource of Addition Fact Mental Strategy Games & Activities .
