Bump games are great for math stations or centers because after you teach students how to play the game they don't require any further explanation. You can create infinite versions of the game depending on the topic or skill you are teaching.
These particular bump games were designed to give students more practice with basic addition facts. Instead of the usual dice roll to generate the numbers, there are cards with the facts on them. Different game boards provided utilize different strategies for teaching basic facts. You can pull out the fact cards that apply or just use the last game board that applies to all of the strategies.
While there are usually only 10-12 numbers on the board, students answer fact problems for all of the facts being studied. At the end of the game there is a response sheet for students to write out the complete facts they drew.
This Bump game is one of a series written for different holidays or seasons.
