The following are three ways to use these cards.
•Make a Pair - Have the students match the fact cards to the sum cards.
•Find the Pair -Place the fact cards and sum cards face down on a table or in a pocket chart. Students turn over two cards. If the cards do not make a matching pair of a fact and it’s sum, the cards are turned back over. If the card does make a matching pair, the student keeps the cards. The student with the most cards at the end of the game wins.
•Board Game - Use just the math fact cards with one of the included game boards.
By the end of second grade, students should know from memory all sums of two one-digit numbers. 2.OAB.2
