Ready made addition fluency cards, facts to 20.

Easy to use for independent or partner practice.

Copy on colored paper to make it more fun.

Give students a copy to keep in their desk to practice when they are finished early, or use them as task cards with a piece of paper.

Use partners to quiz each other, or just use them as flash cards in class.

****My favorite - have students pick a card, read and and answer the problem before they enter or leave the class******

Fluently add and subtract within 5.
For any number from 1 to 9, find the number that makes 10 when added to the given number, e.g., by using objects or drawings, and record the answer with a drawing or equation.
Decompose numbers less than or equal to 10 into pairs in more than one way, e.g., by using objects or drawings, and record each decomposition by a drawing or equation (e.g., 5 = 2 + 3 and 5 = 4 + 1).
Given a two-digit number, mentally find 10 more or 10 less than the number, without having to count; explain the reasoning used.
Add within 100, including adding a two-digit number and a one-digit number, and adding a two-digit number and a multiple of 10, using concrete models or drawings and strategies based on place value, properties of operations, and/or the relationship between addition and subtraction; relate the strategy to a written method and explain the reasoning used. Understand that in adding two-digit numbers, one adds tens and tens, ones and ones; and sometimes it is necessary to compose a ten.
