This is a simple, quick way for students to review addition facts through 10 with partners or independently. I usually print and cut apart myself so the number sentences/sums can be sorted into plastic bags, with higher operations saved for later use.
Students lay out the larger number cards in order, and sort the facts underneath the corresponding sum.
My students practice this with the option of using any addition strategy they've learned to find the answer. First, they practice with only 0-5 number sentences and sums. After fluency is observed, 6-10 number sentences and sums are added.
