Addition Games for Spring
If you enjoyed my first and second Addition Game Packs - you will my 3rd set too!
This file includes ten fun printable card games that can be used with small groups of students or in a math center.
The games are very similar to the first and second packet, as this will support your emergent students. The consistent format games will help them become independent workers as they grow in confidence from the similarities.
These ten games teach a variety of stages of understanding in addition and deal with numbers mostly from 0 to 10 (2 games do go to 12).
The games are:
Students will model simple addition problems where the answer will be no larger than ten
Students will add more to a group to make ten.
Total Ten Bug
Students will form combinations that make ten, e.g. 6 and 4, 7 and 3
Students will instantly identify the number represented by an arrangement of dots.
Students will add two arrangements and find the total.
Students will model addition and subtraction to 10.
Students will solve simple addition.
Students will complete simple addition, using the counting-on strategy.
Students will read addition stories, model the problem and find the total.
Students will use counting-on from the larger number to find the total of two numbers.
Students will add numbers in the range 0-6.
These fun games will help your students with basic addition strategies and you will need classroom equilment such as dice and counters to play.
All games come with a worksheet and a 'cover page' for you to use in your center/game organizational pockets, folders and pouches.
