In my class, we teach addition with a series of strategies, and then the strategies are reinforced with the use of games. This is one of the games I like to use to help my kids practice the Make 10 addition strategy. "Make 10" is all of the facts that equal to a sum of 11 or more. To find the sum, the students are encouraged to "make 10" and then add on to find the answer. However you teach it, this game will reinforce addition facts that are the harder ones for the kiddos to remember because they involve some double digits. All you need to do it print, laminate, and cut out! Directions are included in case someone doesn't know how to play Go Fish.
