This popcorn themed math center includes 4 games to help children become fluent in addtion facts to 10. Pop!: Place all popcorn pieces in an empty popcorn container (available from dollar store or target). Students take turn drawing and solving addition facts. If a player draws a POP! card all popcorn pieces must be returned to the container. Player with the most popcorn at the end of the game is the winner.
Popcorn Match Up: Have students arrange popcorn bags with numbers 0-10 on a table. Place popcorn pieces in an empty popcorn container. Students take turns drawing popcorn pieces.
After the problem is solved, students place the popcorn on the appropriate popcorn bag.
Three in a Row: Students each take a Three in a Row gameboard. Teacher chooses a set of addition flash cards. Flash card is presented to student. Students solve the problem
and cover the corresponding answer on their game board. First player to get "three in a row" is the winner.
Movie Night Board Game: Combine all three sets of flash cards. Students place their marker on start. Players take turns drawing equation cards and solving the problem. If answer is correct student may roll the die and move the appropriate number of spaces. First player to get to the finish is the winner.
