This is a fun addition and subtraction game that kids love. Later in the year I teach the multiplication subtraction version. Once they learn the game it makes a great center activity or rainy day recess game.
The first slide of the smartboard lesson explains the rules and variations of the game.
The second slide has interactive dice and is set up for the beginner version. In the beginner version students start at 100. They roll the dice dice, if a 1 is rolled then it is the other players turn. Add the numbers rolled. Then subtract from 100. Continue rolling, adding the dice, and subtracting until a 1 is rolled or zero is reached.
The third slide has interactive dice and is set up for the advanced version of the game. This game practices multiplication facts and subtraction. Students start at 500 instead of 100 like in the beginner game.
