I created this packet as practice to help challenge my kiddos utilize the strategy of the 200's chart, as well as drawing base ten blocks using Place Value...when adding and subtracting. In class we use a laminated 200's chart, as well as a Place Value chart (I have them as a freebie you can totally download)!! BUT I also wanted to see actual seatwork, that can be turned in and graded. So I created this packet to help with just that. I have created a total of 6 worksheets OR if you want to incorporate each strategy (3 practice sheets using the 200's, and 3 sheets using the PV strategy), they can be printed front to back so that one side is using the 200's chart, and the other is using the Place Value chart! For the 200's chart, each problem (some addition, some subtraction) has its own mini hundreds chart, so that your students can show the "path" that they took to find and solve the answer. Then for the using base ten, I have a Place Value chart for each addition/subtraction problem.
Grab these Hundreds Chart freebies: 200's Chart
Then of course: Place Value Mats
Here are some other Addition and Subtraction Activities!!
