This is a fun addition game modeled after the traditional War card game appropriate for students in grades K-3rd grade.
1. Print on cardstock. Laminate the cards and cut them out. Shuffle the cards. Distribute evenly between two players. Players keep their cards face down.
2.Players flip two cards each at the same time. They add the digits on their cards and record the addition sentence on their individual recording sheets.
3. The player with the highest sum collects all of the cards played for that round
4. If there is a tie, players put down two more cards each. The player with the highest sum then takes all 4 cards played during that round.
5. Play continues in this fashion until one of the players wins all of the cards. (Or, you can play until the recording sheet is filled. The player with the most cards at the end of the game is the winner!
