I created this form to use with young students when using manipulatives to teach addition with sums to 10. The first page is interactive. It can be projected onto a screen or Smart Board for use during whole group instruction. Students/teachers can click and drag the coins and numerals to make number sentences. Drag them back and start again. Laminate the blank template and use dry-erase markers and manipulatives during small group instruction and learning centers. This activity is great for helping learners make the transition from concrete, to pictorial, to more abstract thinking. This will be helpful for students of various learning styles, including those with special needs. Happy Teaching!
