Product Description
This is a fun and educational board game from grades 1 - 4 practicing addition and subtraction.

Game Directions:

The game is modeled after a board game. Each student is in on his or her own team, and there are a maximum of 4 students participating during the course of the game. One student rolls die and completed math problems until timer runs out.

To determine who goes first, each student rolls one die. Whoever gets the larger number goes first, and the smaller number goes last. For example, if Player 1 rolls 8 and Player 2 rolls 2, Player 8 would go first. If there are more than 2 players, the same rule applies; the smallest number always goes last. If two players get the same number, roll again.

Each student is given one board piece, and will move the piece up and down according to the directions.

To begin, the first student will turn over a sand timer. He or she will have 3 minutes to complete as many problems as possible.

First, the student will roll his or her die. He or she will add the numbers together. He or she will then move the game piece up as many spots as the sum. For example, if he or she rolled the die and got 5 and 6, the game piece would be moved up 11 spots.

After completing the sum, following the directions on the board. Choices include:

Add 10 to your larger number and move up that amount of spots.
Add 2 to your larger number. Move up that amount of spots.
Add 2 to your smaller number. Move up that amount of spots.
Add 7 to your larger number. Move up that amount of spots.
Add 8 to your smaller number. Move up that amount of spots.
Add 9 to your smaller number and move up that amount of spots.
Add dice together, move up the same amount of spots that your sum is.
Move back 2 spots.
Move up 1 spot.
Move up 3 spots.
Move up 5 spots.
Subtract 1 from your larger number and move back that amount of spots.
Subtract 2 from your larger number and move up that amount of spots.
Subtract the smaller number from the bigger number. Move up that amount of spots.
Subtract the smaller number from the bigger number. Move up that amount of spots.

When the timer runs out, the first player stops. The second player flips over the stand timer and repeats this process.
The game continues to repeat this process until a player reaches the ‘YOU MADE IT’ spot.
