By the end of second grade students are expected to be fluent in addition and subtraction math facts 0 -20. Fluency is not the amount of time it takes to answer, but the ease in which students can find the sum or difference. Unfortunately, many students aren't fluent in these basic math facts until the end of fourth grade in which point, they are also expected to be fluent in 200 other math facts (multiplication and division). So let's help our students gain confidence and ease in addition and subtraction early on!
In this math packet, you will find everything you need to teach common core strategies for addition and subtraction. It includes:
-black and white manipulative printables
-game ideas for math centers
-youtube video links to see how the games are played
This is friendly for homeschoolers, classrooms, and for parents who just want to help their children at home.
Your students, or child, will be able understand the language presented, and they will not know that they are learning when they are playing the games. They really are so much fun!
With this packet your students will be equipped with a wide range of strategies and they will feel more confident about numbers and math all together!
I'd love to have your feedback on how this has helped you and your students! Thank so much!
