This set has been updated (June 2020) to now include a digital component to use with distance learning!

Do your kiddos need practice with subtraction to 10, but get bored with regular flashcards? This resource includes 2 games, task cards, and anchor charts in a variety of sizes and styles to meet the needs of your learners as well as ideas for other ways to use them.

Directions for each game and ideas for how to differentiate the activities are included. I've also included 2 types of response sheets for your students to use during task card activities.

Simply print, cut, and you're ready to get started!!

✅ This product correlates with Chapter 2 in GoMath for First Grade!

DIGITAL LEARNING: The digital version of these task cards includes answer spaces for students to type their answers for each task card. There is a mix of single answer spaces and multiple answer spaces depending on the task card! You can assign some or all of the pages for your students to complete in Google classroom.

Ideal for:

  • Whole Group
  • SCOOTs
  • Small Groups
  • Math Stations or Centers
  • Independent Practice
  • Morning Work
  • Spiral Review
  • Around the Room Activities
  • 4 Corners

Apply properties of operations as strategies to add and subtract. If 8 + 3 = 11 is known, then 3 + 8 = 11 is also known. (Commutative property of addition.) To add 2 + 6 + 4, the second two numbers can be added to make a ten, so 2 + 6 + 4 = 2 + 10 = 12. (Associative property of addition.)
Fluently add and subtract within 5.
Decompose numbers less than or equal to 10 into pairs in more than one way, e.g., by using objects or drawings, and record each decomposition by a drawing or equation (e.g., 5 = 2 + 3 and 5 = 4 + 1).
