Product Description
I created this set of cards so that I could isolate the specific addition facts that some of my students needed to practice. I also created this set to help my class work on their fact fluency. We not only used these cards as timed tests but I also turned them into write and wipe cards and created a math center with them. This set includes 33 cards that focus on addition with sums to 20. Differentiation for your students is easy as the cards are groups into fact families that focus on (+1,+2,+3,+4,+5,+6,+7,+8,+9,+9, and +10 facts. In each set of three there is one card that has the facts for that family in sequential order and then the other two cards show the addition equations mixed up.

These cards can be used in several different ways and depending on how you wish to use them, the assembly will be different. If you would like to use them as write and wipe cards for use in a math center or math tub, I recommend printing them onto cardstock and you will also need to laminate them. I also hole punch the top corner of them and attach them altogether with a binder ring. If you would like to use them as mini student books, you will need to print out according to need and I also recommend hole punching the top corner and attaching together with a binder ring or fastening the pages together with a staple. You can also laminate the pages and not cut out the individual cards and students can use these pages in a math center as a write and wipe activity as well or to include as part of their learning portfolio.

I use these cards in many different ways. I use them as a write and wipe math center. Once laminated I also include these math cards as a “fast finisher” activity. Students can complete the cards as they are, or you can offer them small timers to help promote addition fact fluency. These cards also make great activities to send home for students. You can send the whole set or just certain cards specific to the students need, home with them to complete. I have several sets laminated and send them home with students as part of our math at home program and once students return them I send them home with the next ones, I have used the same sets for quite some time. These cards also make a great assessment tool, you can print off the cards you need and use them as timed tests. This makes a great assessment for and of learning.
