Practice addition to 20! These activities are fun, low-prep an are great for stations, whole class practice, or small group work!
Print and laminate bump game board (the following page) and spinner.
Take turns spinning two spinners, adding the numbers together, and covering the sum on the game board. If another player has only 1 counter on a space, you can “bump” him/her off the space. When you get 2 markers on a space, it is “locked” and you cannot be bumped from it. The first player to cover all the spaces is the winner!
Spin and Color has two ways to play!
Independent: With this play style, students can play independently. The student will spin the two spinners (or roll two ten-sided dice), add the numbers together, and color the sum.
Partner: In this game, each student will have his or her own spin and color mat. Students will take turns spinning two spinners, adding the numbers together, and coloring in the sum on their own papers. The student to cover his or her sheet first is the winner!
