This game was designed to help students practice addition and addition with borrowing. It uses three digit numbers with money. There is a game board, directions, answer key, menu and task cards. These are word problems designed for students to use only addition. Some of the cards contain extra information. The kids in my class enjoyed playing "restaurant" with the word problems. The answer key also made it helpful for groups to be more independent with correcting each other.
I actually put each game in a pocket folder. I laminated the menu on the front and the answer key inside. On the back, I glued and laminated the directions. The pocket inside is used to store the game board, cards and piece.
I hope your class enjoys Mrs. Coin's Breakfast Counter as much as mine! :) Steph
P.S. The graphics are from www.scrappindoodles.com. They are very cute and add a nice touch to the game!
