This PowerPoint takes young students through the entire process of making Adinkra cloth. When I was in Ghana, a man who owned an Adinkra factory let me take pictures and film him. The pictures and simple words tell the history of Adinkra, where the ink comes from, how the ink is made, how the Adinkra stamps are made, and how men make the symbols on cloth. There is a movie to go with this that I will send to you via Dropbox once you purchase this PPT. If you have Adinkra stamps, students can print around the perimeter of a plain sheet and make a costume for a Ghanaian play.
