This activity was SOOO fun-the kids LOVED it! This will show students the importance of using adjectives in their writing!
-Hand out a blank sheet of paper to each student.
-Tell them that the rule is that they HAVE to follow the rules, and they CANNOT ask ANY questions!
-Then, use the description page supplied to give them directions for drawing the secret thing on your paper. (Fred the Monster) DO NOT SHOW IT TO THEM- IT'S A SURPRISE!!
-Then I say, draw a head. Draw eyes, etc. (don't use any of the adjectives!)
-Have all students hold up their pictures at the end. They should all look SUPER different!
-FINALLY, have them turn the paper over and follow the exact directions I typed for you.
-The second time everyone shows the class their drawings, they should look MUCH MORE ALIKE!
