Have you ever wanted to have your grammar explanations/lessons recorded so that students who missed school or are having trouble grasping a grammatical concept are able to catch up? Or perhaps you have needed a substitute to teach a concept that you aren't sure they even understand themself? Or maybe you have a few concepts that you dislike teaching? If any of the above ring true for you then Livewire Grammar is your answer!
This adjective/noun pencast is a grammatical explanation introducing the idea of gender and number agreement for the first time. This video of veteran teacher, Nancy Cole Hough's grammar explanations is based on years of teaching and understanding how students learn best and what gives them the most trouble. Each video is a pencast-not a video of her physically teaching, instead a PDF video of her written and oral explanation on paper. Special software is not needed to run the pencasts, only Adobe Reader 10.1.0 which can be downloaded for free. Each pencast can be uploaded to your website for student retreival, or you can play it through your computer and project it onto your classroom screen to teach students.
Sometimes it's great to have a new perspective! The series of pencasts are effective, real, upbeat, and comprehensive!
