This activity is designed to help students define what an
adjective is, identify adjectives, and use them to describe nouns. Many Task Cards contain picture cues, others do not. This activity could be used many ways, but it is my
suggestion that students be paired together to complete the Task Cards as a team. Other ideas could be a whole-group
instruction with students filling out their own answer
documents, small groups completing the Task Cards, or even individually.
Each Task Card contains a specific direction for the student to complete using their knowledge of adjectives. They can complete some of the answers on the cards, or they can use the answer document. I have also included a list of possible adjectives that you could project if students are struggling to come up with their own. In addition, you will find two
options of answer documents (the second one is included in case you prefer students not write on the Task Cards at all). Good luck and I hope that your class enjoys Adjective Task Cards!
