HOW TO USE IN THE CLASSROOM

There are a variety of ways to use this in classroom or your resource center. There are mini lessons that can be taught in a small group setting, during a writing block, resource group or as a whole group lesson.

There are also numerous activities included. These can also be done small group, in an inquiry center, as independent work, a writing center, during Daily 5, they can be teacher led or even led by a parent volunteer or aide.

There are also worksheets included, and these worksheets are all differentiated. These worksheets can be sent home as practice, put into a packet, worked on in a center, during a writing block or as a whole group.

HOW IT IS SET UP

There are over 120 different word cards and many are illustrated which is perfect for ESL and your new readers. Many of the cards are not illustrated which helps to differentiate for the higher readers. The cards come in black and white as well.

The cards are designed to be used with many of the activity cards. I recommend making a few sets and laminating them so you can get maximum usage.

Many of the activities are designed not to use much paper or any at all. They are great paper saving activities.

HOW YOUR STUDENTS WILL GROW

These activities will help your students to grasp better ideas of adjectives and adverbs. They will be able to recognize which is which, be able to use them in their writing and expand their verbal vocabulary.

This also helps with imagery in being able to describe pictures and what they are reading.
