This unit for adjectives and adverbs includes everything you need to teach adjectives and adverbs together! Let's face it. Students can easily find them confusing, and students need to be able to distinguish the different between an adjective and adverb in a sentence. From three mini-lessons with anchor charts to no prep printables to center activities to journals to assessment, I got you covered! In fact, I made sure to make it overflow with more than you need to teach adjectives and adverbs, so you have options to pull from for students who need extra review. I also included three writing project activities that will move students from foundational knowledge with adjectives and adverbs to higher level thinking. This unit is a bit different from my other grammar units because it includes two distinct strategies for helping students distinguish adjectives from adverbs. It also includes a grammar strategy to help students purposely use adjectives and adverbs in their writing.
Please note, this resource covers both adjectives and adverbs together and is ideal for the second grade level. If you are looking for a resource that covers just adjectives or just adverbs, I have those too (click on the green words to link)! ALSO, Just Adverbs, Just Adjectives, and Adjectives and Adverbs Together are bundled together in my ADJECTIVE AND ADVERB MEGA BUNDLE THAT YOU CAN FIND HERE. If you own the Adjectives and Adverbs Mega Bundle, then you own this resource.
