Description

This is a great Escape Activity to practice using long and short comparative and superlative adjectives. Students will solve seven tasks that target this important grammar focus. Each task is different and will engage students. Correct answers will provide codes to move forward to the next task. Solving all of the tasks correctly will help students identify the thief and answer the question, "Who stole the donuts?"

This grammar review activity can be used at anytime throughout the year! Works great in small groups. Includes printable prizes!

Students will complete 8 tasks:

  1. Comparing images - Visual Identification of comparatives & superlatives
  2. Chart - Fill in the comparative & superlative of the root adjective
  3. Crack the code - Understanding short descriptions using comparatives & superlatives.
  4. Puzzle - Matching Activity
  5. Multiple choice sentences
  6. Gap -Fill using short and long adjectives
  7. Speech bubbles- Identifying correct and incorrect use of comparatives & superlatives
  8. Final Task: Alpha-numeric code
