Here’s a way to review or teach adjectives in one week, with just a few minutes each day. This packet is based on my favorite Schoolhouse Rock video about a camping trip that went awry! You can access the video on YouTube by searching “Schoolhouse Rock Adjectives”.
This camping themed resource allows students to explore adjectives in different ways, using foldables for a notebook, traditional standardized testing passage w/ Q&A, task cards, and other fun activities. If you’re not afraid of getting your hands a little dirty, have fun on day 2 by making s’mores with your class and describing them using all five senses! If you aren’t up for something that sticky, there is a simpler, cleaner activity to use as a substitute.
If you loved this packet, make sure to check out my Weird Words: a Week of Fun with Context Clues, which follows a similar format and was a huge hit in my classroom!
