The ‘Read and Write Adjectives’ words game a fun way for students to practice their adjectives. Students can independently ‘Read and Write the room’. Place the adjective cards around the classroom and provide your students with the noun cards, a clipboard and a recording sheet. There are 2 levels to choose from to differentiate the lesson. Students then walk around searching for the adjectives that match their noun card. They love playing detectives.
This is perfect to use in your guided reading program. My students love the chance of using the clipboards and they can work independently or together to find and record their answers.
This file includes 9 sets of one noun and three adjectives for each picture.
There are 3 versions of the cards.
1. Adjectives with matching noun picture (easy)
2. Adjectives without the picture clue. This means that in the second set you can make it harder and you can match many adjectives to the one noun.
3. includes the words for the adjective and noun on each card.
Students can also practice their nouns and adjectives by playing noun and adjective match and memory games, simply print two cards of each.
I have tried to allow for both US and Australian spelling of words so there is often two versions. Please let me know if I have missed any.
This set is also part of a bundle, which includes the following sets:
