This is not an elemental Orff arrangement by any means, but it uses classroom percussion/ Orff instruments and has the potential to be used by any selection of C instruments you desire eg recorders or flutes. The range of this four-part piece is from middle C up to F5, so an octave plus a fourth. This will fit within the range of the instruments and uses no sharps or flats. However, it’s not the best for singing the song so please understand this is not intended as an accompaniment for singing. Words are included on the score and one of the parts as a reference only.
What is it good for then?
As an activity for students who are learning to read notation which will fit in with the Commonwealth Games, Olympic Games or Winter Olympic Games.
As an extension activity for capable recorder students or those wonderful advanced students in your classroom who need something to extend their skills.
As a show-off piece for those special presentation nights to showcase your developing ensemble.
