This short advanced business English course exposes learners to business idioms and phrases that are often encountered when reviewing requests for proposals (RFPs).
There's no set up, just open the web site and click through the course with your client. Runs on Chrome/Firefox/etc. Activities are interactive (on click).
So, it covers colloquial English used when deciding between which company to use for a product or a service. Business managers use a lot of expressions and phrases that, if never encountered before, make no sense at all. This will guide the learner through meaning and practice, helping them to comprehend what the native speaker is trying to say.
It is intended for advanced English language students working on improving their business English knowledge.
It starts with a glossary of meaning to introduce the learners to the idioms and phrases. This glossary can be revisited at any time throughout the other activities as a way to check back on meaning.
There are a variety of eLearning practice exercises, which includes the following:
- Cloze passage style exercise
- Drop down menu for fill in the blanks
- Multi-choice quiz for idiom meanings
- Hangman game for vocabulary
Then, for final comprehension, there is an email exchange reading. It is an email discussion about three proposals that are being compared. Understanding is tested with true/false interactive questions.
